Even though I lived in Korea for 4 years when I was in my teens, I'm not really familiar eating Korean food here in the states. I would think that this place is traditional Korean food. No fusions here.
There's a 2 order minimum per table for the grilling option, which I wasn't very fond of. Someone mentioned that the spicy beef soup was bland. I have to second that. And I think it was a little overpriced. But overall, food was good and service was great as well, but I think traditional Korean food isn't for me. -

Quiet night for a Saturday. We had the BBQ- galbi and bulgogi. The portions were disappointing and lacked flavor. Banchans were alright. Decent service.
There really isn't much to say about this restaurant. Price did not justify the quality nor the quantity. -

Ok, I understand that Korean food probably isn't going to be very good in IL but this place really is bottom tier.
Very disappointed with the banchan. Nothing was seasoned correctly except the potatoes.
Spicy Beef Soup: This was literally just spicy water. Had zero flavor. Should've been cooked more to let everything seep out and combine.
Galbi Soup: A little bit more flavor than the spicy beef soup, but not by much. Thought maybe it was just bland, but even after adding a little bit more salt was not happy with it. I will say they give a decent amount of meat, but it had a strange taste to it. It was cooked well though lol.
Black Cod Soup: This had the most flavor out of the three. However, I will say it did taste a little fishy.
I don't know how this place compares to other Korean restaurants in IL, but compared to everywhere else I've been...not about this business. -

Menu is limited compared to Chicago Korean BBQ restaurants. Prices were overpriced for the amount of food we got. We ordered two bibimbap and there were not enough rice per bowl. We got a total of 6 side dishes with the two orders.
Ventilation was terrible and the entire room was smoky. -

This place serves -excellent- Korean food, period.
Okay, I can say more in a bit but if you are not far from westmont, stop in when you have taste for Korean cuisine!
This place is spacious and clean. The staff here is extremely friendly and helpful when you ask about the menu. Each meal comes with 5-6 side dishes, which is essential for Korean food in my mind. All their side dishes are extraordinary! More than you expect! To name a few: Kimchi, pickled radish, potato, bean sprouts. Their side dishes give you different flavors to enjoy. Some are spicy while others are light and hearty. My favorite is their potato, well cooked and very flavorful and soft.
Main courses - just a reminder, they do lunch special Monday to Friday with a very reasonable price. I stop by whenever I can but I'm happy to pay the full price if I'm only available on weekend. Some restaurants are not good enough for me to say that.
All their tofu stews are great - you pick ingredients you like such as seafood, pork, kimchi, etc. most of them cane spicy and I like mild the most. Their seafood pancake is good too. I try their short rib soup, which is not always seen at Korean places around great Chicago area. They are GOOD!
Try it if you are familiar with Korean food, you'll probably like it. Give it a shot if you are new to this cuisine, if you don't like it, maybe it's hard to find other places you would like.
They just change a new look of their menu but all the good good stays the same!
